FOR ADULTS
Wednesday Night Series
Every Wednesday at 7pm something fun and educational.
August 13: Book Talk: we will discuss the book Julie and Julia: 365 Days , 524 Recipes, and 1 Tiny Apartment by Julie Powell. In this hilarious book, Julie recounts how she reclaimed her dull, dead-end life by cooking every one of Julia Child’s recipes in the 1961 classic Mastering the Art of French Cooking. (Reading the book is not required to attend the discussion.)
August 20: Trivia Night on UpValley Food and Wine! Test your knowledge of local food and wine, and maybe even win a prize! No special skills required to play, although living here should give you an edge.
August 27: Chris Carpenter, founder of Napa Valley Slow Food will discuss the movement’s history, its mission, and what is being done to promote slow food in Napa Valley. Participants will learn how they can make a difference in the community, preserve regional food traditions, and promote sustainability by supporting local farmers.
