Monday Night Series
Join us every Monday evening at 7pm for a free film: classics, favorites, oldies, goodies, and some newer ones you haven’t seen yet. Each month will include a thematic series of movie titles to entertain and captivate you. In honor of our new president taking office, January’s theme is “Presidents.”
February 2nd: Down with Love
February 9th: The Notebook
February 16th: No film; the library will be closed for President’s Day.
February 23rd: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Wednesday Night Series
Every Wednesday at 7pm, there’s something fun and educational.
Feb 4: Film Night On the first Wednesday of each month we show an independent or foreign film that has been featured in a film festival but not yet been widely released in theaters. Join us this month for The Pope’s Toilet, in Spanish with English subtitles, an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival and Uruguay’s Academy Award submission for Best Foreign Language Film.
Feb 11: Elsie’s Book Club
The second Wednesday of each month is dedicated to a book discussion. No need to have read the books to participate. This month we’ll discuss the books of popular best-selling author Nicholas Sparks.
February 18: Sweet Burgundy Concert.
Sweet Burgundy is an all-woman acoustic soft-rock trio that has acquired many fans in Napa Valley. Their intricate vocals and harmonic backup give a special sound to every song they play, including many original com-positions. Trio members are Dawn Rose, Kathleen Potthoff, and Lynda Amen. RSVP, ask staff for information.
February 25th: Community Cranium® Party!
Cranium® is a game, played in teams, that combines trivia, charades, and other parlor games. Teams will be created on the spot! Put your artistic, trivia, language, and performance skills to the test. RSVP requested, as above.
FOR CHILDREN
Children of all ages and their adults are invited to join children’s librarian Leslie Stanton three times a week for storytime. Storytime includes books, music, crafts, and more.
Weekly Storytimes for Preschoolers:

School-age Story & Craft time: Fridays 3:15 pm
PAWS FOR READING
Tuesdays 4 pm
Children are invited to come to the library and read to a special friend—a canine one! Come pick out a good book and practice your reading skills on a great (furry) listener.
